Hey Everyone,

I really thought this was something fantastic when I went. For those of you who live in Texas or may visit sometime around the Austin area, you simply must check out the Round Rock Ghost Tour. I went last year and it was a really facinating walking tour of downtown Round Rock. It was educational and hearing the tour guide give account of ghost stories while you are standing in a haunted area was just wonderful.

On part of the tour, we stopped off at a restaurant called the Louisiana Longhorn Cafe that is haunted. I had the chance to speak with the manager of the restaurant to verify the claims. She said that at night when the employees are closing, it's not unusual to hear footsteps and various other strange noises. There is a basement, which she allowed me to go down in, and she said that two years ago there was a young girl, an employee, who went down there to get some dry goods. She opened the door to the basemant and at the foot of the stairs stood a cowboy dressed all in old west clothes. He was looking right at her and all of a sudden he moved away from her field of vision and he was gone. She was so upset by it that she quit her job the next day. They also have a small window in the basement where the glass remains broken. The manager said they've had it repaired before but usually in matter of a few short days it gets broken again so they just gave up. I must admit as I stood in the basement, the air seemed really damp and heavy. There was something about the room that didn't settle right with me. It was an interesting tour and I believe it was very inexpensive. The downtown Round Rock area is small and consists of small shops and restaurants that have been renovated from 100+ year old buildings.

For those of you that have never heard of Round Rock, it's the same area that was used to shoot the original "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" movie in 1974.

If the ghost tour interests anyone, check out the link below about it.
