I have a mattress made from cotton my grandparents grew and picked and had made into a mattress. It's in what is now the guest room, but my daughter slept on it her whole childhood.
The mattress is heavenly soft. Not like firm mattresses of today. Everyone who sleeps on it says its the best night's sleep they have ever had, even if they prefer a firm mattress. I think the impression of my grandparents and their

for each other remains in it. Usually only relatives sleep in that room. Their bedroom. I think what everyone feels is the imprint of their lives and thoughts.
My daughter grew up strong and independent, but kind and loving too. Very much like my grandparents. I have wondered if that has been an influence in her life. My kids grew up where my grandparents lived and raised my dad and his brothers and sisters.
I feel a very neutral feeling around most mass produced goods in stores, but sometimes certain things from China give me a twinge that makes me say a prayer for the person who made it.
