I love4.gif going to auctions and have been doing this for about 7yrs. A couple of years ago I was at an indoor auction where we could sit and bid on items. Everything was fine, until we all had to get up to bid on furniture that was around the room. Probably about an hour into the auction, we came to a bedroom set with linens on the bed, I walked over to that area and stood there. I began feeling light headed and sick to my stomach, when I walked away from that area I felt better, but every time I walked back to that area I started feeling sick.....after doing this a couple of times I just decided to stay away from that part of the auction. I feel it had something to do with a spirit??

Did you touch that furniture or the linens? Sometimes you can feel the imprints left on them.

Ohh that is the worse thing huh? I've had this happen to me before. I think it was negative energy, could be a spirit, but I'm leaning more to like a psychic imprint type of thing. Where something bad had happened in the past.

When it happened to me, I was touring a GM plant. We got to the computer room and it got to me so bad that I almost passed out. They ended up having to call their nurse to check on me.. It was pretty scarey, because I had no idea why I suddenly felt so ill, I didn't understand that I was sensitive to these things yet.

I've touched things and got such a profound feeling from it, that I almost threw the item I was holding like I couldn't get it out of my hands fast enough. It was really scary.

I did look at some of the linens on the bed, so yes I did touch them. I deal with a lot of antiques and this was the first time I've had something like this happen.

Two weeks ago I was at another auction, this one was from the estate of some friends that we didn't know died in a car accident, I was upset for days before the auction, no one called to let us know they died months ago. At their auction I was looking in a showcase at some jewelry, I didn't feel sick, just kind of strange and when I looked up at this woman standing across from the case I seen Gayles face and then she was gone. I was wondering if this was Gayles way of saying good-bye. I went back up to the showcase again a little later hoping to see her again, but there was nothing. I didn't dare tell my Dh he would think I was nuts....lol.

It sure is nice to find a place that I can talk to people about this kind of thing. character71.gif

Hi angie,

maybe you have a gift of psychometry, here is a brief facts of what it is etc... hope it helps you xxx god bless skydancing xx

"The ability or faculty to perceive the characters, surroundings, and events connected with a person by holding an object belonging to that person in ones hands.

Mrs. Hester Drowden, a famous medium, defined psychometry as "a psychic power possessed by certain individuals which enables them to divine the history of, or events connected with, a material object with which they come into close contact."

It is generally speculated the faculty existed in ancient times but it was first named and discussed in the modern age by J. Rhodes Buchanan, an American scientist, in 1842. The term is derived from the Greek words 'pschic' (soul) and 'metron' (measure) and signifies "soul-measuring", or "measurement of the human soul."

Buchanan's theory was based on the belief that every thought, action, and event that has ever occurred since the beginning of time has left an impression on ether. This impression will never be erased during what is considered as time. This is why many closely related the ability of psychometry to the Akashic Records . Buchanan also thought the impressions were not only left on ether but on more palpable objects such as trees and stones as well."

I have a mattress made from cotton my grandparents grew and picked and had made into a mattress. It's in what is now the guest room, but my daughter slept on it her whole childhood.

The mattress is heavenly soft. Not like firm mattresses of today. Everyone who sleeps on it says its the best night's sleep they have ever had, even if they prefer a firm mattress. I think the impression of my grandparents and their love4.gif for each other remains in it. Usually only relatives sleep in that room. Their bedroom. I think what everyone feels is the imprint of their lives and thoughts.

My daughter grew up strong and independent, but kind and loving too. Very much like my grandparents. I have wondered if that has been an influence in her life. My kids grew up where my grandparents lived and raised my dad and his brothers and sisters.

I feel a very neutral feeling around most mass produced goods in stores, but sometimes certain things from China give me a twinge that makes me say a prayer for the person who made it.

hmm that's odd.... but there were probably some bad emotions mixed up with that bed or something....
