we can face a lot of negative situtations, does any one have any advice on this. l can visualise the wall that no one can give me their own negative thoughts or thoughts of anger towards me, any advice it would be brill xxxx god bless skydancing xxxx i want help with people on the earthplane xxx

I've read about surrounding yourself with a huge bubble. You just visualize all those negative thoughts bouncing off the bubble and back toward the giver.

Sorry I don't have any god advise about this. You could try what Idlewild suggested that sounds interesting.
I understand skydancing, what you are saying. For myself, being empathic I find it next to impossible to not soak up all the negative thoughts and feeling of others around me. It is hard not to let it get to you.

thank you so much, l will try and do this bubble l thought this would be right, its hard when its the anger comes from family who you care about,

I surround myself with a bubble of white light but I also surround the person that is sending the negative energy towards me (knowingly or unknowingly) with white light as well. I've heard surrounding the other person in white light is even better than surrounding yourself with the white light.

I have begun protection by visualizing myself in a pool of light, enclosing myself in a bubble and mirrors facing outside.... too much protection maybe? laugh.gif


Doing what I can I feel like I am being drained of energy all the time and I just learned about psychic vampires....

While I am empathic to a certain extent, I am also good at shutting off.

I always tend to get my favrourite book, TV show or glass of wine and take my mind elsewhere if I feel someone is harrassing or attacking me. Afterwards, it really doesn't seem to affect me any more.

Thank you for your much needed help and advise, l know l what to do, though at the time l really felt overwhelmed by negative feelings, l know my friends say stay postive, its so hard to do when you are a born worrier.

Its a learning curve life, l wil have to get a good novel and sit back not to dwell of fear of what happening in my life, as ady says always "keep the faith".

This is all very good advice. Using the bubble of protection definately works, but try to work your way up to Grounding and Centering only. I get such a feeling of freedom and accomplishment when this works for me, that way I'm not blocking everything out. Another way is to excuse yourself and move at least 15 feet away from the person. Also, look for ehteric/chakra cords and cut them if you see them.

I don't think this is too much protection at all, especially if you feel you are being drained. But I'd like to add what I read in Angel Medicine by Doreen Virtue.. LOL..

You can also visualize the negative energy being transmuted into love4.gif energy and sent back to heal the sender.

I'm done with this book so hopefully I won't bore you all with my quotes and ideas from this book much longer haha.gif

This is what I do. Also I check that my aura is close to me. Only needs to be out about 18-inches (or an arm's length) to enclose just my energy. Try it~! You will like it~! biglol.gif

Found this thread just when I needed it. I work in the Silicon Valley in the tech world,as an engineer and I hate it. It is brutal to one's well being. Sometimes wonder if the chemical's out in manufacturing such the soul and compassion out of those peeps. Hardly ever a kind word from anyone; just pressure to do more and faster.
I was laid off last October in a re-structuring, but was called back in April. I promised myself that they would not get to me this time, and I would try and work out my time until retirement, but alas, they have.
Since I work a 3 day weekend shift, I am off to work this afternoon, (I commute the 200 miles twice a week) and I can't tell you the dread I feel each week.
I have read each of these very carefully, and will try to test drive as many as I need to find some relief from the pressure. For 3 1/2 days I'm so tense, my earlobes are smashed into my shoulder blades.
All the techinques are so kool, something has to work.

I used to work at a financial institution and working there really took alot out of me. I was the only working @ the time, so there was negativity at work everywhere....no one had anything good to say or think...it got to the point that I literally started physical illnesses, panic attacks etc. Finally I got so sick that I got fired from missing so much work... and at home it was no picnic either...now that I have just learned how to do this, I feel less drained. I do this as often as I remember but when I feel drained again...that's when I realize uh oh didn't shield again. Sigh...

That book sounds interesting Jace! Quote away! I Love learning new ways of doing things and that actually is a great idea....the people I am around on a daily basis can use a good dose of positive and loving energy instead of just mirroring the negative energy back...wow...I have to figure out how I am going to visualize that so its effective.

Hi Mari,
When I visualize I use colors and textures. Negative energy to me is black and goopy, kind of like tar, it's sticky. And love4.gif is Pink and White together, sparkling shiny smooth light. Hope that helps you any.. hug.gif

Yes it does! as I read your post i was thinking of my son's fave cartoon. POKEMON, it has this character on there that you described as tarry and goopy and sticky lol, anyway I will use that.
