Okay something quite strange happened yesterday. I was in deep meditative state and sending healing energy to everyone on my list. It was around 10:00 PM and it was time for my oldest to go to bed so while I was sending he bent down to give me a kiss on the cheek. Well, this is what I felt. It felt like he was leaning his head in, then he pulled away and tried again. I immediately came out of meditative state and was upset because I thought he was messing with me, I feel very vulnerable when I'm in that state. But the truth is he only leaned in to give me a kiss on the cheek once, but it felt like twice. What was this?

Could it be that you were aware of what was to come? So felt the leaning in/kiss ahead of when it actually happened? Just a thought.

Being in a highly meditative spot, you could have been a tad ahead of time?

That's an interesting Theory. Does that happen a lot when we meditate that we can sense things to come?? My mind was on channeling healing, and I felt it coming ahead of time as a natural instinct?

One thought I had but was not sure of was; that I had a lot of energy going through my Aura and it was expanded when he came into my auric space, I felt him penetrate it? I don't know it's confusing. I don't practice Reiki the traditional way. I bring the energy into me then I send it off.

Its possible your aura felt the kiss a split second before your physical felt it

Both theories are amazing. I've only been meditating for a few months so I'm not sure of everything that hapens durring the process. I do know I feel incredibly vulnerable when I'm in especially when I'm channeling healing. I think I need a good book. Or I need to explore the meditation threads here.

I agree with those above; when channeling energy you can reach sort of an astral state that causes you to be more aware of both time and space around you.

Being in that state does feel very vulnerable at first, but you get more used to it as you get more experience. In fact, if you work on that outward feeling you can sense people easier and increase your wisdom of who to heal.

I'm happy for you having such a great natural ability and now going on to get Reiki atunements. I recommend ALWAYS trust your instincts. Reiki is designed to be taught to anyone and some people with gifts do things a little different - nice job!

I have a few books on Reiki that might help:

Hands of Light by Barbara Ann Brennan is a must have for any Reiki practitioner in my opinion. It will give quite a bit of info on auras, chakras, general healing and many other things your Reiki Master may or may not tell you.

Also, Essential Reiki: A complete Guide to an Ancient Healing Art by Diane Stein. This is notoriously hard to find for some reason, hopefully now days it's easier to get. This will explain Reiki as would a textbook on learning Reiki, from History of Reiki, teaching the attunements, and descriptions of everything an instructor or practitioner would need know about the Usui School of Reiki.

A few more advanced books include Advanced Pranic Healing by Chao Kok Sui which deals quite a bit with using color energy in a Reiki format and includes a large directory of ailments and color therapy "cures". Vibrational Medicine by Richard Gerber, MD is rather dry but contains a lot of info on various healing techniques.

Finally, if interested in Acupuncture or anything to do with Meridians, I highly recommend Tsubo: Vital Points for Oriental Therapy by Katsuzuke Serizawa, Sc.D. This gives accurate, detailed maps of the meridians as well as a large glossary for how to heal particular ailments with Acupuncture point therapy and meridian clearing.

Thank so much for your reply MC and your kind comments. I saw "Hands of light" online somewhere and it looks pretty interesting. It seems though that I do need more guidance with my book selections because the ones I've been getting don't really speak to me. I'll read a few pages then put it down and try again a few days later.
