Sometimes during meditation, I hear talking. Sometimes its a snippet of conversation and sometimes its someone calling out a name, like a mother calling a child. Anyone have any theories as to what is is I'm hearing? Is it spirit or am I imagining it?

Maybe it is your Spirit Guide trying to communicate with you?
Not sure but when I read this that is what came to mind, just thought I would throw that in here..

I can just be thinking about something without meditating and this will happen to me.

I hear voices too and all that got me was a shrink when I was younger! Ha! Sounds to me like you had a connection on some level. Does this happen often for you or just periodically?

Yeah, most people think you're crazy if you admit to hearing voices. I once told my my dr that I saw a light pattern on the floor and he put me on antipsychotic medication.

I probably hear these little bits of conversation alot but don't notice or pay attention to it very often.

I also hear things so much so that I don't pay attention anymore. It has to absolutly be something or someone trying to get my attention for me to pay it any mind anymore.

I am like Just Sarah- I hear these voices so much that I ignore them most of the time. They really have to want to get my attention if they want ME to notice, lol. But the way I can tell the difference between spirit and my own thoughts is that spirit thoughts come in really fast like WHACK! And they also sound far away but aren't you know? I hope that helps.

At first, it was just now and then but it's becoming more frequent now. Yesterday when I was in the shower for instance; I heard a child of around 3 call out, "Mummy!" I had the feeling ishe was a child that had just crossed over. My children are older and haven't called me 'Mummy' for years. I also asked them but it wasn't them. I'm familiar with my guide when he comunicates with me, so I know it isn't him.

It sounds like you have the ability to tune into the Spirit radio channel ...

You are wide open energetically and may benefit from some tools so you aren't bombarded by too much information.

• Your Aura & Your Chakras: The Owner's Manual by Karla McLaren

You will learn how to encapsulate your energy and choose when to open to Spirit.

Aloha thank you for the book recommendations. I too am going to check these out. I seem to get a lot of communication at work, so much so that my ears always seemed clogged when im there. I am learning to tune a lot of it out and only pay attention when I hear something clear or catch a glimps of something. There was a night at work however that I was going about my business trying to get my work done and ignoring the clogged ears when I was firmly tapped twice on the shoulder and I was the only one around. Those are the signs that I usually pay attention to.
